Functions and Tasks

  • Research and development of the production technologies as traditional food, nutrition food (protein enriched food, amino acid enriched food... ), supplementary food and functional food (for diabetics, special objects, preventing and supporting treatment of hypertension, insomnia, lipid metabolism, cancer... ), food materials for producing functional foods from natural resources and bio-active preparations (freezing royal jelly powder, honey - royal jelly, bitter melon extract, soybean isoflavone powder... );
  • Application of technology and equipment to food processing and functional food production by providing consultancy, transfering technology, & training;
  • Pilot production and trading food, functional food products, equipment in food industry, food materials, bio-products at enterprises;
  • Provision of training in the field of food technology and biotechnology;

  • Preservation of Vinh orange by the method of modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) (2005) (counterpart project);

  • Research on production technology of gamma amino butyric acid enriched functional food for cancer patient (2007);
  • Research on production of omega 3-enriched functional food from marine fish (2007-2008) (counterpart project);
  • Research on production technology of functional food from the domestic materials for Hanoi consumers (2008-2009);
  • Research on production of the high quality wine in Vietnam (2008-2009) (counterpart project with France);
  • Research on production technology of anthocyanin preparations for functional food processing (2010-2011);
  • Research on production of some functional foods from soybean (2010-2012);
  • Improvement of technological production of nutrition cereal for the elderly (2010-2012);
